"i am a new york based costume designer working in the film industry. i often find myself on a job in other cities where i need to set up a home for upwards of 8 months.  i am also a mom and my husband , 2 year old and cat all travel with me when i travel for work.  i have just recently had one of the most wonderful experiences in the 19 odd years of work travel and out of town living.

"During our extensive renovations we rented the main floor at 37 Fernwood Park Avenue, Toronto, ON. When we saw the accommodations for the first time in June we loved it.  The decor, the amenities and the ambiance radiated peace and tranquility. It was precisely what we needed. It has gleaming hardwood floors, a Valor fireplace, art deco furnishings, a front porch with Muskoka chairs and a lovely table and lamp that lend to peaceful tea filled evenings and an after work glass of wine or beer.

"Rob Burton is a very fine man. He is wonderfully kind and generous. He even allowed us to enjoy his cat 'Ralph'. The location is in the east end of the 'Beach' neighborhood in Toronto, literally 50 steps from the boardwalk and the 'Balmy Beach Club'. It is also 100 steps from Queen Street which boasts the 'Remarkable Bean' coffee emporium that serves organic fair trade coffee, The Fox Theater, a long time fixture for entertainment in the Beach, The GOOF, Ed's Real Scoop homemade ice cream shop and many more shops, restaurants and pubs that completes the wonderful fabric that is the 'less busy more sedate 'Beach' Community.

"37 Fernwood Park is nestled in among ancient trees on a short one way street, is wonderfully difficult to find and equally difficult to leave. It is cottage life in the city."
